The project is complete, everything is back in it's original home, and we have hung the pictures and whatnots back up...but we have been struggling with what to put over our bed. Before painting, we did not have anything as nothing had caught our fancy, then we painted and are at a loss for what to hang over the bed. So this is where you come in...what are your thoughts, your suggestions? Help!!!
And yes, we are putting up holdbacks for our curtains, they are just like this till we find the time and have the money to go and get some!
The bedspread is dark red with warm gold and brown in it with a touch of green here and there. Don't you just love the requisite, black lab in the picture? It's Raider's room too!
This is the wall closest to my side of the bed...it is our black and white wall and everything is framed in black. It looks much cooler in person!
That is Sean's side and the door leads to the Master Bathroom. Notice, nothing on the walls there either so you have suggestions....
This is the front of the room. That door leads to the family room. Again, nothing on the walls here either....our room is so much bigger than our one in our old house, so we have wall space we just don't know what to do with! Help!

Ooooh - pretty! Great job, you guys!
I've always wanted to try out those fancy-schmanz wall decals - you can get them in lighter colors like this one. They're not real expensive and theoretically easy to change out.
I've also seen some really pretty oil/acrylic paintings at ebay for a reasonable price. You can catch some budding/part time artists without paying gallery prices.
A big gorgeous iron piece?
Can't go wrong with a great painting, either.
My fave place to look for inspiration is always

Whatever you chose you should love and it should inspire something in you each time you see it! A tall order but above the bed is such a sexy place! Good Luck!
That wall grafiti stuff is really neat like sara said- "always kiss me goodnight" or XOXO over to one side would be fun- they have ideas online as well and you can usually request color samples. One thing I have heard is that if your texture on the wall is pretty heavy it doesn't turn out as well. I hope you find something you love!
I agree on the wall graphics like vinyl wall art. I have a Maple leaf branch in one of my bathrooms sprouting out from behind a mirror. fun:)
I could browse art on Etsy.com all day -some really fun and affordable paintings, collages, photos etc. You could even find someone to help dream up a custom piece.
Love your color choices!
