Spring in Texas=Bluebonnets

Spring time in Texas means it is time to bust out the camera and have the obligatory pictures in the bluebonnets.  A big thank you goes out to Mother Nature and God for the recent rain that has made these little beauties bloom in all of their glory.

In case you are an out of state reader, the bluebonnet is the Texas state flower and it is a beautiful wildflower that is sadly, only around for about 3 weeks to a month before the Texas heat kills them.  Every spring people all over the state flock to any patch they can find and take pictures in these beautiful blue wildflowers.   I am sure that logging into Facebook, there will be a million pictures of just such images--mostly kiddos too.  Last year, we skipped it, but this year, my office has plenty growing on the campus so I told Sean, let's do it this year.  Tonight we trekked up there, found a nice little shady patch and took some pictures.  It also helped that a little Miss Elizabeth was very cooperative for the most part.  :)  She is an excellent study in film after all!  Enjoy the pictures and the beauty of this day!

Great pictures! We have yet to do this. Usually by the time I think about it, the bluebonnets are making their exit. Maybe next year....
