Today our little Elizabeth is 23 months old. Every day is a new adventure and ever day is something new that she discovers and something new we discover about her. With Elizabeth, there is never really a dull moment!
Here are this month's highlights:
- Words, words, and more words. Grouping some words to together for small phrases. Her favorite word at the moment is outside.
- Speaking of outside, she loves to play outside and for some reason is not bothered by the cold when it truly is cold outside! What is it with children being immune to the weather?
- Monkeying her parents--words, phrases, and actions. That is a little scary.
- Elizabeth loves her books. We go through a minimum of at least 5 a night, but most nights we clean out our basket full of books. Her current favorite book was left by Santa, it is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?"
- Legos--building them tall and then taking them apart and doing it all over again.
- Wooden puzzles (thank you school for introducing those)!
- Elizabeth is the tallest kiddo in her classroom and only the 5th of 10 kiddos in age. She's a tall one!
- Speaking of her class, she is the only girl in her class of 10 at the moment. Talk about the belle of the ball! Hopefully some other little girls will move up soon to give her some company.
- Even though Elizabeth is still not really into watching TV, she has enjoys "Monsters, Inc." from her Uncle Andy and Aunt Emily and cousin Camryn.
- Dress up time! Elizabeth has taken to walking around in my shoes, so far a fan of the flats and clogs, but now that I have started back to work, I think she will be going for the high heels soon enough. Aunt Karen gave us some dress up babbles for Christmas and we LOVE playing with those. Even more fun is her trying to put her little babbles on us.
- Play-doh! The more the merrier, the more colors even better. She does not do too much with it, but enjoys squishing it in her hands and combining the colors.
Elizabeth will be two a month from today and neither Sean nor I can believe how quickly those two years have gone by. We are so thankful and blessed to have this lovely little lady.
