The Fence

About a month ago, Sean came in the house and told me that he just had to nail part of our fence to our neighbor's fence to keep it up.  Uh oh.  That means a lot of money and a lot of time.  While we have known that this was coming, we were in denial for awhile but nailing it up again was the final straw.

Sean did the research, found himself a project manager (our friend, Greg), and the next thing I know, there was a number under my nose of how much this was going to cost if we did it ourselves.  So we did.  Destruction, poles, staining, slats, and then the final fence.  It was about a three week process under 100 degree plus weather, but it is done (with a few more little touches).

Yes, even yours truly got out there and stained her share of the boards with Sean after Elizabeth went to bed for about a week.  Thankfully, that is done!

A big thank you goes out to Greg for his tireless effort...and of course, Jeff for his advice and supervisor skills.

Before

Before
After destruction.

We have poles!

It's starting to look like a fence.

The final product.

Sean's gate that he built all by himself.  Isn't it pretty?

Now we just need to get the grass to grow again....
For the record, I hope we never have to do this again.  :)

The fence turned out great! Excellent job to you both. My dad built his fence the same way - so that our peeping neighbors can't see in. Haha!
